Companies & Activities in Rockford, IL. Worth Seeing!
I am sure a lot of you out there have been to Chicago and if you haven’t then you at least have for sure heard of it before. Well as much as I love The Windy City and big cities in general, sometimes it is nice to go outside of the touristy areas and explore the cities outside of the big ones. I recently went to Rockford, Illinois (click here if you've never heard of Rockford) during a trip to Chicago and am so happy that I did! Rockford is one of the many suburbs surrounding Chicago and it is a lot quieter and much cozier than a big city feel, which is what I am all about!
It doesn’t matter if you are going alone, with friends, your family, or spouse; there are plenty of things that you can do to fill up your day with nothing but fun!

Companies Worth Checking Out
Since I was there with my wife and 2 kids, my suggestions and places that I visited will be more suitable for those with children so keep that in mind. But if you are planning on going alone or with a group of friends, rest assured there are plenty of other options in Rockford to suit your needs!
One company, out of many, that were great and very helpful to us was http://goo.gl/gtYekA?roof-leak-repair
The place that my whole family enjoyed the most together in Rockford, IL would have to be the Burpee Museum of Natural History. It was a very well put together museum and my kids enjoyed it much more than others we have visited in our home town. The staff was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about everything, but didn’t come off as boring or something that my kids weren’t interested in. Sometimes they aren’t the easiest to keep interested but it was no problem at this museum and we made it through the whole place without my kids getting bored which is a huge win in my book!
For the ladies and husbands trying to please their wives, the Rockford City Market was a great way to spend the afternoon. It was a great place to support the local market and small businesses which is always a great thing to do when you are visiting a smaller city. My wife loved it and was so happy to spend the day here.

Cherry Valley Isn't Far Away
Once the kids were back in the hotel and in for the night, my wife and I decided to go out for a night on the town one evening and visited a number of the local bars and nightlife. There were plenty of options and I really don’t have any bad things to say about any of them, but the one that stood out to me and that we enjoyed the most would have the be the Rockford Billiard Café. The employees there were extremely friendly and were very welcoming to us. The drinks were cheap and fantastic and there were plenty of bar games and things to keep you busy all night. It was a great place to top the night off for two parents just trying to have an evening out together!
